Capital de Bosnia y Herzegovina. Esta ciudad, como Mostar, otra de las ciudades importantes de este pa\u00eds, estuvo bajo dominio Otomano, Austroh\u00fangaro, form\u00f3 parte del estado fascista de Croacia durante la 2da GM, luego form\u00f3 parte de Yugoslavia y actualmente es capital de Bosnia.\u00a0<\/p><p>Si te gusta la historia, y en especial lo relacionado con el S.XX esta ciudad te encantar\u00e1. Aqu\u00ed se produjo uno de los hechos clave del siglo pasado, el asesinato del archiduque Francisco Fernando, \u00fanico heredero al trono del Imperio Austroh\u00fangaro. Para construirlo debieron indemnizar a todas las personas que ten\u00edan una casa en los terrenos en donde se quer\u00eda construir. Todos aceptaron menos uno, con el que tuvieron una larga negociaci\u00f3n y finalmente para que aceptara le entregaron una gran cantidad de oro y literalmente le trasladaron la casa al otro lado del r\u00edo. Adem\u00e1s, funcion\u00f3 como biblioteca nacional durante la \u00e9poca yugoslava, aunque durante la Guerra de Bosnia fue bombardeado (se perdieron el 80% de los libros). Posteriormente se inici\u00f3 su reconstrucci\u00f3n, aunque no fue hasta 2014 que el edificio estuvo acabado.
